Clear Capital

David DeMello is Executive Vice President and Chief Appraiser at Clear Capital^®, responsible for the company's Appraisal Services team. His primary focus is centered on the company's appraisal clients and regulatory affairs, Appraisal Services staffing and training, management of our appraisal quality control, and the design and development of new appraisal systems and processes for the company.

Dave is a Certified General Appraiser with over ten years of experience in both residential and commercial appraisals, and began his career with a leading commercial appraisal and consulting firm in Sacramento, California. Early in his career, Dave was fortunate to be mentored by a 25-year veteran MAI appraiser (as designated by the Appraisal Institute), and became highly skilled at appraising a wide array of commercial and residential property types, including office, retail, industrial, subdivisions, master planned communities, Mello-Roos and Assessment District formation, single-family, multi-family and income residential properties. Dave has also served as an expert witness for eminent domain proceedings, and brings to Clear Capital a high level of mortgage default process and foreclosure market expertise.

Prior to joining Clear Capital, Dave founded DeMello Valuation, providing real estate appraisal and consulting services covering the greater Sacramento and North Lake Tahoe regions. Dave earned his MBA with an emphasis in finance from the California State University, Sacramento.

When not developing or enhancing our valuation products, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife, four daughters, and Samson, their golden retriever. In the summer, the DeMellos can be found hiking the endless trails or swimming in the many lakes in the Lake Tahoe region, and in the winter, doing "big turns" on their snowboards in the Tahoe powder.
